The community we serve is very important to Tempe St. Luke's Hospital. Our commitment to serving the needs of our community extends beyond the walls of our hospital. We partner with many area agencies to bring healthcare to those who do not have access to services.

  • We’re a partner in the Escalante Health Clinic along with the Tempe Community Action Agency and the Arizona State University College of Nursing. The clinic serves Tempe children and their families who are uninsured or underinsured providing well-child exams, illness care, immunizations, physical exams, sports physicals, prescriptions, referrals, education and preventive care. The Escalante Health Clinic is located in the Escalante Community Center, 2150 E. Orange.

  • Tempe St. Luke’s Hospital and its employees support the United Way. Valley of the Sun United Way is a local non-profit organization that brings our community together and focuses resources on the most critical human care needs in the Valley. As a leader in addressing health and human service issues, Valley of the Sun United Way fulfills a unique role in making our community a better place.

  • Additionally, Tempe St. Luke’s Hospital and its employees routinely participate in back-to-school and holiday drives for organizations in our community including the Tempe Community Action Agency, Tempe Salvation Army, Thomas J. Pappas Elementary Tempe School and United Food Bank.

  • The hospital Auxiliary provides annual scholarships to students pursuing healthcare careers, and the Tempe St. Luke's medical staff also awards annual scholarships to Tempe High School seniors entering college. In addition to these financial investments, Tempe St. Luke’s Hospital also partners with Tempe High School to give students an opportunity to explore healthcare careers. High school students who volunteer receive a firsthand look at the healthcare careers in a hospital setting available to them.
