Description:
Our childbirth preparation class covers a variety of topics to help you prepare for the birth of your baby. You will learn what to expect during the various stages of labor, breathing and relaxation techniques, your options for pain management, and how your coach can help you through labor. Taught by registered nurses, the class also covers breastfeeding and infant safety. A tour of The Birthing Suites is included. This course is recommended prior to the fifth month of pregnancy and completion of the class is recommended at least two weeks before your due date. Patients should bring their labor partner and wear comfortable clothing. This class is taught in English. If you have any questions, please call (480) 784-5588.

Fees & Payment Instructions:
This class is free to Women's Clinic patients. For patients delivering at Tempe St. Luke's Hospital or Mountain Vista Medical Center the fee is $50. For patients delivering at any other hospital, even if your doctor practices at Tempe St Luke's Hospital or Mountain Vista Medical Center, the fee is $70. All class fees must be paid in advance of the class. Payments can be made at Tempe St. Luke's Hospital at Main Admitting during the day, and at ER Admitting after 4:30pm and on the weekends.
