Our volunteers work in many every areas of the hospital including the Information Desk, Gift Shop, Surgery Waiting Room, Emergency Room and other patient care areas. We also offer service opportunities in our ancillary offices, and ambassador positions at special hospital events. Inquire about joining the Tempe St. Luke's Volunteer Auxiliary to take a leadership role in high impact services such as Patient Comfort, Scholarships and Spiritual Care. We have day, afternoon and evening shifts available to meet your scheduling needs. in all areas.
Requirements
In-hospital volunteers must be at least age 16 for most positions, and age 18 or over for assignment to the Emergency Department. All applicants must be 14 or older. We do not require special skills or educational levels. Our program is designed to help you make the most of the skills you already possess and to develop your abilities. Interested parties are invited to apply by completing a Volunteer Application and Agreement. To become a volunteer you will need to complete an application available at the Information Desk or you may apply online. Volunteer Services reviews applications in order of date received, and interviews applicants presenting the best match for open positions. All volunteers are required to pass a background, health and drug screen, all provided for you at no charge as our commitment to your health and safety. Your training includes a general volunteer orientation and training sessions in your assigned area of service.
